I'm Angelina Thurston, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the State of Colorado. I received my Master's Degree in Psychology from Seattle University, and I have over 20 years of experience working in a variety of mental health settings. These include inpatient psychiatry, outpatient counseling, residential treatment for children, community case management, and community mental health services. I especially enjoy working with adults to help them develop and utilize effective, clinically proven strategies and skills to manage and thrive in their lives. My specialty areas include depression, anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, life transitions, stress management, and conflict resolution. I take a client-centered, trauma-informed clinical approach, meeting clients where they are and assisting them in getting to where they want to be in their lives. This includes creating custom-tailored treatment plans that incorporate clients' personal goals for treatment. In my practice, I utilize a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, strengths-based, and solution-focused approaches. I believe in the power of these methods to bring about meaningful change and support emotional wellness. I look forward to joining you on your journey to emotional wellness.
