Hello, I'm Anitta. It can be hard to reach out for help, especially when sorting through all the complex thoughts and feelings associated with the things that concern you. Feeling heard and supported is very important in any relationship, and the therapist/client relationship is no different. As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona and Oklahoma, with over 15 years of experience working in the behavioral health field, I have been able to assist many individuals trying to “figure it out.” I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma- and stress-related disorders, as well as substance-related disorders. I also support the military/veteran community. My counseling style is friendly and non-judgmental. My approach combines client-centered practices, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused counseling. Everyone has their own unique journey, and I hope to create a safe environment to explore that journey. I specialize in helping clients manage anger, navigate anxiety and depression, improve family and intimate relationships, cope with grief and bereavement, and handle life transitions. I have experience working with PTSD, stress, trauma, and multicultural/diversity issues. Additionally, I offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer virtual sessions.
