Getting to know Anna Goodhand

I know how feeling misunderstood and other-ed can be deeply challenging, especially if you navigate the world with a unique set of experiences or marginalized experiences. I know what it's like to navigate the world from that position, especially with regards to Disability, Neurodivergence, Queer identity, and complex trauma. I honor my clients' lived experiences and cultural contexts that they come from, tailor my approach and range of therapeutic tools to fit you and your needs, not the other way around. I am a Covid-informed and conscious provider.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My clinical practice involves an eclectic range of tools and modalities tailored to your needs with a person-centered, trauma competent, Neurodivergent-Affirming, and feminist foundation - along with DBT, Internal Family Systems, AEDP, attachment-based, relational, mindfulness/meditation, and more. I provide psychotherapy, life & communication coaching. I work to empower folks through self-compassion, clarity, tangible tools to encourage growth, and affirming care that meets you where you are with an understanding of how marginalization and identity intersect with our wellbeing and bodyminds. At the end of the day, I'm passionate the most about being client-centered in my work, meaning adapting tools, approaches, and techniques to the goals, lived experience, and identities of my clients. And checking in with them along the way to adapt and tailor as needed!
