Hi, Annalise Cavanaugh here, I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida. I can see any clients virtually in Florida, or in-person in Palm Harbor, Florida. I have worked in Florida for 3 years as a counselor and have worked in a variety of settings. Through my diverse professional background I have found that my true passion is working with individuals with anxiety, sexual health/ intimacy concerns, and relational conflict.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a compassionate therapist who uses an integrated, personalized approach combining many techniques to support clients navigating anxiety, intimacy concerns, and relational conflict. My work emphasizes the mind-body connection, helping clients tune into physical sensations and emotions to foster resilience and healing. I also prioritize education and empowerment, guiding clients in understanding and applying therapeutic tools for lasting emotional and physical well-being. I believe it is important that potential clients know that the counseling process is a difficult that pushes individuals out of their comfort zone to allow for growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first session with a new client is used to gather background history of you and what brings you to counseling. This will also be your chance to ask any questions you have about the counseling process. From there sessions will be geared to your individual needs and will go at a pace that fits you. For clients presenting with physical symptoms of distress, those are addressed first to bring comfort to your body before moving to explore your mind. I challenge clients throughout our time together and do assign activities between sessions.
