Psychotherapist
MD
Choosing a therapist is a meaningful step, and finding the right fit matters. As a licensed clinician in Maryland and Oregon, I offer a collaborative and individualized approach grounded in the understanding that there is no “ideal” client—only unique individuals with their own stories, needs, and goals. I hold a doctoral degree, with research focused on how systemic structures influenced behavioral patterns during the COVID-19 pandemic. My clinical experience includes working in community settings with individuals navigating personality disorders, trauma, crisis, and challenges related to addictive patterns—both substance and behavioral—as well as eating disorders. I have also supported underserved populations, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, which has strengthened my commitment to providing inclusive, affirming care. My approach is integrative and tailored to you. I draw from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, while also creating space for deeper self-exploration, emotional processing, and connection to your internal experiences. Together, we will focus on building awareness, strengthening your ability to navigate emotions, and helping you reconnect with your strengths in a way that feels authentic and sustainable. In our work, I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can safely explore your thoughts and feelings. I see myself as a guide alongside you—helping you make sense of your experiences, identify patterns, and move toward meaningful change. This process is not always easy, but it is often where the most impactful growth occurs. If you are ready to invest in yourself, deepen your self-understanding, and engage in a therapeutic process that is both supportive and honest, I welcome the opportunity to work with you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is collaborative, honest, and tailored to you. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model—our work will be shaped by your experiences, needs, and goals. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space while also offering feedback and gentle challenge when needed. I’m engaged in the process and will help you build awareness, understand patterns, and navigate emotions more effectively, while also supporting reconnection with your body and internal experiences. Therapy isn’t always easy, but it can be meaningful and rewarding. My role is to walk alongside you as you build insight, strengthen your abilities, and move toward the life you want.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins with an initial session where we explore what’s bringing you in, your history, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. This helps us get a sense of fit and begin identifying goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you. From there, we move into ongoing sessions that focus on building awareness, understanding patterns, and exploring your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I tailor the process to you—some sessions may be more reflective, while others may be more structured or skill-based depending on your needs. Throughout our work, I check in regularly on your goals and progress to make sure therapy is feeling helpful and aligned. As things evolve, we adjust our approach so it continues to support your growth. Over time, the focus often shifts toward strengthening your ability to navigate challenges independently, deepen insight, and maintain the changes you’ve worked toward.
