Brian Ayer, LPC

Psychotherapist
12373 Kinsman Rd, Ste 110, Burton, OH
I use a strength-based, person-centered approach in a collaborative manner to assist my clients in seeing HOPE as they face challenges in life. I have worked as a clinical counselor for over 19 years in a variety of professional settings. These include outpatient community mental health, crisis services, corporate/workplace settings, and owning and operating a private Christian counseling practice. I also have experience training law enforcement on how to better assist individuals in a mental health crisis. I have counseled children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of concerns. My therapeutic approach is to meet clients where they are in life and provide support and counseling to help effectively address personal challenges. I hold a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in Exercise Science and a Master’s in Pastoral Clinical Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. I aspire to educate people on how the use of exercise in the counseling process can positively impact mental health.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
