Getting to know Caitlyn Marshall

Hi, I’m Caitlyn Marshall, a Licensed Certified Social Worker with a passion for supporting adolescents and adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. I believe everyone has the capacity to grow and heal, sometimes all it takes is a supportive and empathetic environment to unlock that potential. My therapy style is client-centered, focusing on creating a space where you feel heard, respected, and safe. I combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with EMDR techniques to help you process difficult emotions and develop effective strategies for managing stress and trauma. By integrating mindfulness and a strengths-based perspective, I aim to help you build resilience and foster positive change that lasts beyond our sessions. When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy unwinding with light-hearted TV shows and reading books that encourage personal growth. I look forward to partnering with you to navigate your challenges and move toward a healthier, more balanced life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but when you work with me, you can expect a warm, supportive space that honors your experience. I know that anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief impact every part of life, and I’m committed to helping you feel safe as you navigate these difficulties. Our work together will focus on uncovering the root causes of your struggles and finding effective, practical ways to manage them. I customize each session based on where you are emotionally and mentally whether that means diving into deeper issues or easing in gently. My intention is to meet you exactly where you are and help you move toward healing at a pace that feels right for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My work with clients begins by building a foundation of trust and openness. In our first few sessions, we’ll explore what’s currently happening in your life whether you are struggling with anxiety or depression. Together, we’ll clarify your goals for therapy so that our work is focused on what matters most to you. We’ll spend time understanding your emotions and the patterns that impact your well-being, while also developing practical coping strategies. Throughout the process, I strive to create a supportive and collaborative environment where progress happens at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
