From a young age, I observed my family grappling with challenges often hidden from view. These struggles, ranging from alcoholism to mental health issues, ignited my passion to become a beacon of support for others facing similar battles. I am deeply committed to aiding individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, women's issues, and navigating complex family dynamics.
I hold a Master's in Counseling from Adler University, which has equipped me with a strong foundation in therapeutic principles. My approach is rooted in humanism and holism, complemented by cognitive behavior therapy. Recently, I had the privilege of assisting a female client in overcoming drug abuse, anxiety, and low self-esteem. Witnessing her transformation into a resilient, empowered individual was profoundly rewarding.
My journey includes graduating from a social justice program, which fortified my confidence in advocating for marginalized voices. Additionally, my experience teaching and coaching at the high school level enriched my ability to empathize and connect with diverse individuals facing various struggles.
Establishing a genuine rapport with clients is paramount to me. I strive to cultivate a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate life's challenges. Beyond therapy, I find joy in spending time with my beloved puppy, indulging in good food and live music, and immersing myself in captivating reads.
In fostering therapeutic relationships, my goal is to instill trust, respect, and empowerment. I firmly believe that people thrive when they feel valued and supported, and I am dedicated to equipping my clients with the tools to lead fulfilling lives. Additionally, I specialize in sports psychology for athletes and offer support for anxiety, depression, eating disorders, substance use, and family dynamics.
