Getting to know Cassandra Murrow
Do you struggle with anxiety or depression even though others think you have a perfect life? Do you feel like you should be happier, but you're not? I've been there and I can help! I have a loving husband and three healthy children, I feel like I should feel lucky and grateful. While I was lucky and grateful, I felt down, depressed, and anxious a lot of the time. I felt as though something was just not quite right. If this sounds familiar, I am here to help. We will work together to identify the underlying concern and determine the best way to address it. I will provide you with the tools to overcome life's struggles. Hello, my name is Cassandra Murrow; in 2006, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Bachelors of Science of Social Work from Metropolitan State College of Denver, followed by a Master of Science in Social Work Degree in 2010 from Newman University. I spent the next 8 1/2 years working for Child Protective Services, specializing in child sexual abuse, working with both victims and offenders. For the past 12 years, I have worked at a crisis line, speaking with clients over the phone. These calls could be anything from someone being lonely and needing to talk to someone to actively suicidal. I work with adult individuals. I believe in an approach in which the counseling process is a collaboration alliance, with clients considered experts in their own lives. Clients can discover their inner strengths to promote positive change. I have various therapeutic modalities, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive behavioral therapy, psycho-educational therapy, and client-centered therapy.

Cassandra was very professional, yet also approachable. I felt I was heard during the sessions , supported in what I was going through , and gently challenged when there were incongruities in my story. Cassandra also provided good homework to play with prior to the next session that helped me process out of difficult times and kept me engaged.
