“I’ve been working with Catherine for about 2 years, during what was probably the most challenging periods of my journey as a parent. Catherine was not only a compassionate listener, but also someone who helped me navigate an incredibly difficult time. Parenting comes with constant surprises, challenges and lessons- especially when trying to become a safe and supportive landing spot for a teenager facing an often overwhelming and sometimes brutal reality. With her guidance, and sometimes just a small piece of advice at the right moment, I was able to look at situations from a different perspective that was incredibly important in helping me become a support my teenager needed. She helped me better understand and accept these challenges, while guiding me toward building a healthier relationship with my teens. Through our work together I became more understanding, more present and ultimately the kind mom my kids needed. I’m very grateful for her support and care throughout this journey.”

“Discovering and then chosing Catherine is akin to winning the therapy lottery. Catherine and I met during a very difficult time in my life. Ive never been typically one to seek out therapy but here I was doing exactly that. Her ability to listen, empathize, retain, reflect, refract and most importantly challenge me when need be, seemingly on the fly, is exactly what I needed. Our work together, first and foremost has made me a better person to myself. Im also a better father, husband, son, coworker because of the work we've put in. You can tell when someone is going through the motions and when soneone truly cares about the work they do. I cannot possibly recommend Catherine enough. I just couldn't see myself on this journey with anyone else. ”

Getting to know Catherine Papandrew

Hi there! You may be reading this feeling lost and untethered - thinking "how did I end up here?". You may be exhausted at the thought of trying to find a therapist in the midst of an already exhausting life experience. Whether it is dealing with motherhood/fatherhood for the first or fifth time, or navigating your identity in the workplace or within yourself - we will figure out a path forward. Whether you are on one side or the other of parent/child conflict - we will find a way through. We will utilize a blend of trauma-informed and attachment-related (i.e. relationships) strategies but, most importantly, we will move through our work the way you, as an individual, need. We will talk about your dog, your frustrating neighbor, and the core values that have somehow, somewhere become misaligned in your life. Client have shared that my ability to connect with humor & compassion helps them show up each week to our session to do the hard work that, at times, is the last thing they want to do after a day of work and caring for others. Our session will feel like a breath of fresh air - one of the easiest hours in your week. When you're ready, I will be here for you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I bring a warm, nonjudgmental, humorous, and solution focused approach to our work in order to help you obtain your goals and find a sense of peace in whatever form you are looking for.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I have worked in a wide range of settings providing therapy in schools, outpatient agencies with adults, and in home with parents (I am trained in the Nurtured Heart Parenting Approach). I work heavily within a relational lens, helping individuals feel better with their relationships with their partners/spouses and children. If you are struggling with a relationship or a life transition (hello postpartum moms and dads!) you've come to the right place. Together we will navigate finding a renewed sense of trust and fulfillment in your relationships whether they are romantic, familial or, most importantly, with yourself.

Catherine is by fr the best therapist I have ever had. I was going through very difficult time in my life, and Catherine really has helped me get through everything. She is the only person I have dealt with as far as therapy goes that made me feel “seen”. I always left sessions with her feeling decompressed, and relieved. I would recommend Catherine to anyone who is seeking a neutral, therapeutic experience!
I had such a positive experience working with Catherine. She created such a comfortable, supportive environment and always made me feel truly heard and understood. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and trustworthy therapist.
