Hello, I'm Charlie. Have you ever felt overwhelmed by life? Anxiety and depression have overtaken your world, and when you watch your life unfold, you say to yourself, “How did I get here?” Do you ever say to yourself, “Someday I will be strong enough to deal with my issues?” If so, then you are someone I can help curate your best life possible. We may be a great fit if you are ready to discover your true, authentic self, ready to discover the potential freedom that exploring your preconceived notions about life can reveal, and ready to challenge your perceptions, assumptions, thoughts, and stories in an effort to move toward total wellness and authenticity. I have been a practicing therapist for over 29 years. I have provided services across the lifespan, from preschool children to geriatric adults living in a nursing home. I have provided services to individuals, families, couples, and groups. My early practice was at our local community mental health center, which gave me experience with and training for dealing with a range of issues, including stress reduction, life changes or phase-of-life issues (moving, marriage, divorce), and significant mental health issues, such as schizophrenia and other thought disorders, mood disorders like major depression, and anxiety disorders. I have always loved this work. Through this work, I get to travel your path with you, facilitating change and growth. Through your change and growth, I also change and grow. As I have developed my practice and honed my interventions, my therapeutic philosophy has naturally grown and changed. I have always believed, though, that therapy is not about assuming something is right or assuming something is wrong. Therapy is about exploring the potential freedom life has to offer without our adaptations. Therapy is about the safety to explore all and any of our perceptions, observations, assumptions, thoughts, and emotions.
