“I have been seeing Colin (Chi Son) for a year and it has been wonderful. Colin possesses a great amount of patience, empathy, and flexibility that helped me navigate interpersonal relationships with friends and family on top of student stresses. He does a great job of listening, then creating a framework that helps me achieve realizations about myself, and I have left his care each week with a healthier outlook and good skills to use. Would recommend him highly.”

I have been Colin's patient for a few years and highly recommend him. Colin is excellent at guiding patients towards growth- he asks questions that build a path for patients' realizations. Additionally, Colin is an intent listener. He registers what the patient is saying and uses that context to inform his psychotherapy sessions. I find myself in a better place and know it is due to Colin's collaboration and work.
Have been working with Colin for the past two years, he is so patient, always on schedule, and is very flexible to accommodate my working hours. Thanks Colin!
I have been working with Colin for the past two years, he is very patient, always on time, and is very flexible to accommodate with my availability. Kind Soul!
I am deeply grateful for the support and guidance I received from Colin during our year and a half of working together. He is an exceptional listener who remembers your concerns and works with you to find the best solutions for your unique needs and pace. Even when I transitioned to another therapist, Colin ensured a smooth and supportive process, showing his genuine care for my well-being. The Pond offers a sliding scale and demonstrates a genuine commitment to helping people. Their diverse team of therapists brings a wide range of understanding and inclusivity. As an Asian person, I appreciated being able to discuss cultural concerns without needing to explain much, saving time and fostering more focused conversations. Thanks to Colin’s expertise, and thoughtful guidance, along with the supportive environment at The Pond I have grown a lot, and feel more confident navigating life. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking empathetic and culturally aware therapy services.
Colin is a professional therapist with great manners. I am very grateful that my journey in NYC as a foreigner was with his company, that he witnessed my change. Highly recommend!
I am so much grateful to meet Colin as my therapist during my darkest time. I was a new comer in NYC and I encountered so many problems and difficulties that every one newly moving into this city may go through: academic stress, adapting to new culture, living completely independently for the first time, and relationship issues. I was depressed for like half a year, and had sessions with Colin of around 15 times. Every time after talking with him, I felt so comforted, peaceful and determined to continue my life. The meaning of therapist is to help you see clearer on the problems and to try to assist in figuring out your own inner choices. Colin has helped me all the way out and I really appreciate his professionalism and patience and warmth all the way. I am fully recovered now, being energetic and so hopeful to my life. I already recommended him to my best friend, and she also gave me extremely positive feedback. (BTW Colin is cute! Don't miss this extraordinary therapist! :p
I haven't therapy consultation in years so going in after so long, I couldn't have felt more nervous and uncomfortable doing it again. However, Chi Son (Colin) Chan made my experience in therapy perspective changing and as well as heartwarming throughout his compassionate abilities in being a good listener, asking the right questions and overall, having faith in his clients. Not only was Colin someone who made my struggles feel acknowledged and seen but he was also a person that taught me how to see it or myself and to naturally build up faith and self-esteem in the person I already was. I was in good hands with Colin for almost a year before I had to eventually switch therapists due to a change in my insurance company I was subscribed to, but that year has given me the confidence that I can begin to use the time between the switch to put Colin's advice into practice and take care myself better as an adult. My biggest takeaway was to treat yourself as another human being you love.
Chi Son is such supportive and encouraging. I felt very comfortable to open up to him with all my confusions and problems and he always give me very positive feedback to encourage me. After each section, I always felt better mentally, more relax about study and life. He is very kind and always willing to help, and I would to recommend him to my friends who ever look for a counselor.
