Psychotherapist
AZ
Hi there, I'm Christopher! My name is Chris Bradshaw, PhD, LPC. I'm a psychologist and licensed professional counselor in Arizona. I provide compassionate, safe, confidential, experienced, and skilled therapy for challenges such as trauma, depression, anxiety, grief/loss/change, life transitions, and addiction (substances, gaming, technology, gambling, sex). I value helping you uncover your strengths and become empowered to confront what blocks you and live a life of healing, meaning, purpose, and freedom. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Saybrook University, which laid a strong foundation for my work. My approach I am grounded primarily in Existential-Humanistic, Somatic Experiencing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dream Analysis, and Motivational Interviewing. I pursue extensive in-depth training and teach Existential-Humanistic therapy. Most of all, I value the "common factors" in therapy: empathy, collaboration, meaning & hope, safety, and respect. My focus I have fifteen years of experience providing care to individuals dealing with a wide range of issues. I most often treat trauma, addiction, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and the search for greater self-awareness, meaning, and fulfillment. My communication style Clients consistently report that I provide a warm, safe, compassionate environment where they can challenge themselves to grow. They describe me as knowledgeable and flexible, and that I make the growth and learning process interesting and even fun. My journey to mental healthcare Like many therapists, there were challenging aspects in my upbringing, and therapy has helped me work through these and some self-defeating or problematic self-protective patterns I developed partly as a result. I've experienced firsthand how therapy can heal, improve relationships with self and others, and unlock creativity and meaningfulness.
