Hello, I'm Christopher. We all need someone to talk to from time to time. Have you felt stressed lately? Have you felt anxious or depressed? Have you ever experienced any traumatic events in your life? Are you trying to cope with drugs, alcohol, gambling, sex, or pornography? We can work together to develop a plan for solving the situation you may be facing right now. We will create a safe and productive environment to explore the reasons and relationships that brought you to counseling. Together, we'll develop healthy coping skills and better ways to manage your stressors. I utilize mindfulness-based therapies, behavioral approaches, and other modalities such as Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapy, which are evidence-based therapies in individual therapy. For relationship therapy, I find Emotion-Focused Therapy to be highly effective, and for family therapy, Structural Family Therapy can be very helpful. Since 2013, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals, including children, men, women, couples, and families. My focus has often been on trauma victims and individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, parenting, and relationship issues. Much of my experience involves working with families involved with the Department of Child Services. I am a certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapist and a Credentialed Sexually Abusive Youth Clinician (CSAYC), working with youth exhibiting Sexually Maladaptive Behaviors (SMB). My specializations include trauma, addiction, and relationship issues. Starting counseling can seem difficult, but take your time. I am happy to work at your speed.
