I received my Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College and my Bachelor's Degree in Psychological Brain Sciences and Environmental Science from UC Santa Barbara. In my free time I love to read both Psychological Thrillers (Verity, Into the Darkest Corner) and Fantasy (Throne of Glass, Dawn of Onyx). **PLEASE NOTE: Courtney does not provide medication management or psychiatry services. I love working with... …teens, young adults, and couples. I have experience in working with anxiety, depression, attachment, trauma, and self-esteem. Some of my favorite approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Attachment Theory, which I use to work alongside you and empower you to reach your therapeutic goals. I utilize person-centered therapy, where I place a strong emphasis on empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness. How I help: I will meet you with warmth and empathy, ensuring you feel safe and comfortable in our space. My role as a therapist is to help you discover your inner strengths, enabling you to overcome challenges and reach your full potential. Together, we will identify and address the underlying issues that may be holding you back, and I will support you every step of the way. I believe that life can come with many difficulties and challenges, so it is very brave and admirable that you are looking for some support!
