Hello, I'm Courtney. As your therapist my goal is to create a collaborative and accepting environment where we can identify your current stressors and create goals to address them. In my experience as a therapist, I have worked with individuals who may be struggling with challenges such as anxiety, depression, familial conflict, life adjustments, stress, mood disorders, grief & loss, women's issues, trauma, adjustment disorder, self-esteem issues, anger management, behavioral issues, and ADHD. I understand that beginning therapy can be an overwhelming process. I am here to help you feel empowered to make changes in your own life. My goal is to ensure that this becomes your safe space to heal and grow through evidence-based practices such as person-centered, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral therapies. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work through Frostburg State University in 2017. Then I continued on in my education and obtained a Master of Social Work through Salisbury University in 2018. I have been practicing Social Work for 8 years but within the last 5 years have been focused on offering one-on-one support through individual therapy services. Throughout the last 8 years I have worked in several different settings including outpatient therapy, hospital social work and crisis intervention, and currently school-based therapy services. Together, we will develop a comprehensive plan so that you can get the tools you need to help you reach your goals.
