UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. My experience allows me to use a therapeutic approach that matches the needs of the client. I have years of experience assessing and treating children, adolescents, and adults. I help those in treatment examine behavioral patterns that have become dysfunctional and learn healthier patterns of thinking and behaving. I use a lot of cognitive behavioral approaches. I specialize in treating those with depression and bipolar disorder, victims of domestic violence, and helping those with gay and lesbian concerns. I also specialize in working with victims of domestic violence and in deprogramming people who are exiting high-control groups and cults. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Howard University and a Bachelor's degree from Morgan State University.
