Hello, I'm Damon. With over 18 years of clinical practice, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, including adults, couples, families, and service members. My journey has taken me through various roles, including working for the federal government for more than 16 years. I've had the honor of serving with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the US Army, and the US Navy, both domestically and internationally. One of the highlights of my career was deploying as a clinician aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt for 8.5 months in 2015. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Randolph-Macon College and my Master’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in addressing a wide range of issues, including stress, addiction, anger management, antisocial behavior, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, gender identity, grief and bereavement, military and veteran support, PTSD, intimate and romantic relationships, sex and intimacy issues, sleep disorders, spirituality, suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviors, family relationships, multicultural and diversity issues, and life transitions. My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep commitment to helping you navigate life's challenges. Whether you're dealing with stress, seeking support for addiction, or working through grief, I'm here to provide a safe and supportive space where we can work together towards your goals. Please note that my availability is from noon to 3 PM each day. If these hours work for you, I would be honored to support you on your journey to well-being. Let's take the first step together.
