“I first started seeing Daniaja a few years ago to get help with my general depression and intense anxiety, and over time she also supported me through new challenges (things like grief, family issues, stressful periods, and big life shifts in general) adjusting our sessions so they stayed relevant to what I was going through. She always made me feel heard and supported, and her engagement has helped me develop better coping skills to handle things on my own. She also makes insurance changes and other logistics smooth and stress-free compared to other practices I've dealt with. I’m so grateful for everything she’s helped me with and would still be seeing her if I hadn’t graduated and moved away.”

Getting to know Daniaja Davis-Chambers

Since becoming a therapist, I have been pursuing my passion of providing high quality therapeutic care to those who are having mental health challenges, are going through major life transitions, and those who have experienced chronic, complex trauma and are now wanting to break the cycle and heal. I am a firm believer that our mental health impacts our whole beings. And left untreated, trauma takes an emotional and physical toll that wreaks havoc on our mind, bodies, and spirits. I take pride in working with my clients to build a collaboration and empowering my clients to be the expert in their own lives and be the drivers in their own treatment process. I also offer clinical supervision to those working towards licensure.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in working with clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, spiritual/religious trauma, fertility/pregnancy, postpartum depression, ADHD and mood disorders. Through use of modalities such as CBT, DBT and Christian counseling, I work to provide my clients with the toolbox they need to fully heal and grow.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During the initial sessions we will carefully evaluate your unique needs as the client by exploring your history, current presenting challenges, and goals for therapy. This assessment process helps guide the development of a personalized treatment plan tailored to address your specific needs. In the sessions that follow, we work collaboratively to implement this plan, using evidence-based strategies to make intentional progress toward your goals and reduce the intensity of mental health symptoms over time.

I first started seeing Daniaja a few years ago to get help with my general depression and intense anxiety, and over time she also supported me through new challenges (things like grief, family issues, stressful periods, and big life shifts in general) adjusting our sessions so they stayed relevant to what I was going through. She always made me feel heard and supported, and her engagement has helped me develop better coping skills to handle things on my own. She also makes insurance changes and other logistics smooth and stress-free compared to other practices I've dealt with. I’m so grateful for everything she’s helped me with and would still be seeing her if I hadn’t graduated and moved away.
Daniaja has a sincere heart and she is a wonderful listener. She encouraged me through the difficult season of singleness, challenged me to be a woman of integrity during my engagement, and celebrated me getting married. I am now thriving in a healthy, beautiful marriage and this is partly owed to Daniaja. I highly recommend her for any season of life you're in!
So kind! I always felt heard during our sessions and felt like I could tell her exactly how I was feeling without judgment. She guided me out of my comfort zone at a pace that didn’t feel too fast and challenged thought patterns that were holding me back. Really enjoyed my time with her! I’m at a place now where I feel like I’ve developed enough coping skills and confidence to navigate life without much fear because of Daniaja. I even recommended her to a friend who was looking for a black woman therapist :)
I cannot recommend this therapist enough. From the very first session, I felt genuinely seen and heard. She is incredibly down-to-earth, which made it easy to open up without fear of judgment. What I appreciated most is her honesty — she doesn’t just tell you what you want to hear, she tells you what you need to hear, with compassion and clarity. Every session felt like a safe space to process, reflect, and grow. Her insights were always thoughtful, grounded, and relevant, helping me connect the dots in ways I hadn’t before. If you’re looking for a therapist who is real, relatable, and truly invested in your growth, she is the one.
