Danielle Crystal, LCPC

Psychotherapist
MD
My own mental health journey and deep interest in human resilience and growth are what drew me to become a therapist. I know firsthand what it’s like to experience therapy that feels supportive and healing, as well as therapy that doesn’t feel like the right fit. That’s why I believe strongly that the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most important parts of the healing process. My goal is to equip clients with tools, insights, and compassionate support as they move forward in their own journey.

Getting to know Danielle Crystal

My own mental health journey and deep interest in human resilience and growth are what drew me to become a therapist. I know firsthand what it’s like to experience therapy that feels supportive and healing, as well as therapy that doesn’t feel like the right fit. That’s why I believe strongly that the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most important parts of the healing process. My goal is to equip clients with tools, insights, and compassionate support as they move forward in their own journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I feel especially energized working with individuals navigating ADHD, Eating Disorders, and OCD. I believe the real “magic” of therapy often happens outside of our sessions when clients take what we’ve explored together and practice it in daily life. My role is not to make clients dependent on therapy, but to empower them to trust themselves, build skills, and create meaningful change. For me, therapy at its best is both practical and deeply restorative. It offers a space to better understand our brains, our patterns, and our choices, while also providing the nervous system with a sense of safety through authentic connection. Awareness is always the first step in change, and my hope is to help clients take that step and then grow far beyond it.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I bring humor, compassion, curiosity, and gentle directness into my work. I also understand how intimidating it can feel to reach out for the first time. Beginning therapy is an act of courage, and I will meet you with care, patience, and guidance at a pace that feels right for you. You don’t have to face your challenges alone. Healing and growth are possible, and I’d be honored to guide you in that process.
