I work holistically, but foremost from a client-centered, relational perspective, and find the number one factor of successful therapy to be the strength of the therapeutic relationship. Because of that, I take a pretty active role in therapy, bringing humor and realness to sessions—a style that has made my work with teenagers and young adults very successful. I have a CBT background, so I often like to use goal setting and structure in my work with clients, balanced with the view that they are the experts on their journey and my role is to walk beside them as part of their team. I am definitely not a one-size-fits-all therapist and am always actively learning to find the best ways to support clients. Overall, I would describe my style as engaged, connected, warm, and no B.S. I earned my MSEd in School Counseling and Guidance Services from City University of New York, Hunter College, which has further shaped my approach to supporting clients in a collaborative and empowering way.
