Getting to know Darlene Browning

It is my vision and purpose in life that everyone should live free of judgement, distress, discomfort and free of emotional turmoil. In world as we know it, we have been conditioned to accept pain, discomfort and stuckness as part of every day living. As your therapist, I would like to help my client overcome those feelings of despair, discomfort and undoing aloneness. I graduate from Hunter College School of 'Social Work in 2001 with my Masters in Social Work and I worked as a Hospital Social Worker , and a Behavorial Health Care Manager before becoming a therapist. I am EMDR trained, including a certificate in Intergerated Trauma Studies , AEDP trained level 2 , and I am currently working become Somatic Experience (SE) certified so I an help individual have trauma stuck in their bodies. In addition I provide motivational interviewing techniques, CBT methods, and my therapeutic modality is based on a psychodynamic and psychoanalytic foundation.
