Are you looking for someone who will really listen and understand what you going through? Choosing a therapist is a big step, and it takes courage to start the process of healing or learning new skills. I believe therapy works best when there is a genuine connection like talking to a trusted friend who also has the knowledge and tools to help you move forward. Most importantly, you should feel safe, understood, and free to share your thoughts and feelings. I bring not only professional training but also a lifetime of personal experience to my work. I am a mother of six, married young, and worked hard to pursue my education. I grew up with challenges that shaped who I am, and I also served 23 years in the military‚ also I understand both the language and the unique struggles of military life. I became a counselor because I know how powerful it is to transform pain into growth. I value family, children, and the healing process‚ specially in working through childhood or other trauma. Over the years, I have supported individuals and families facing anger, family violence, betrayal, addictions, depression, anxiety, and feelings of unworthiness. I also have experience with ADHD in both children and adults, focusing on building executive functioning skills. In our sessions, I use a variety of approaches including CBT, CPT, EMDR, Gottman, and more. I often provide homework to help you keep growing between sessions. And for those who prefer, I am also a Spanish speaker. My role is to walk alongside you and support your healing‚ but ultimately, you are the one creating the change.
