Getting to know Don Horton

My philosophy is one of pragmatism, based on treating each client as an individual with specific needs and empowering clients through education as well as introspection. My greatest goal is to help others develop into healthy and whole individuals and to embrace life’s journey. In the therapeutic process, I empower the client to discover their own resolve while guiding them toward a safe path of self-discovery. I strive to help others actualize the value of their individual being and inspire them to experience their maximum potential. I have worked with adults, children, adolescents, and families from a variety of backgrounds, with extensive experience treating trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and child/adolescent behavioral disorders. Additionally, I have significant experience working with military personnel, law enforcement, and first responders, providing Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from West Texas A&M University.
