My therapeutic approach incorporates evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Mindfulness-Based Interventions.
I hold a Master's degree in Social Work from Aurora University and bring over 17 years of experience in the medical field, giving me a robust background in addressing the diverse needs of individuals facing mental health challenges. I am a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), which indicates I have specialized training and expertise in helping clients manage anxiety-related issues effectively. My previous roles include working with adults on an acute psychiatric crisis unit, where I assisted those grappling with psychosis, suicidal ideations, Bipolar episodes, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorders, and personality disorders. I've also worked extensively with individuals contending with substance misuse disorders, drawing on my experience as a United States Navy veteran to support veterans within a substance abuse treatment inpatient setting.
