I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Mercy College in New York and a Master's in Clinical Social Work (MSW) from Norfolk State University in Virginia. I've been licensed since 1995, and throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with children, teens, and adults of all ages, addressing issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and life changes. In recent years, my focus has shifted towards supporting older adults as they navigate lifestyle adjustments related to changing medical conditions and life transitions, as well as grief and loss. Additionally, I've spent significant time coaching executives and individuals stepping into leadership roles within the healthcare environment. My training encompasses a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, and mindfulness techniques. I take a holistic approach to therapy, considering all aspects of you as an individual. I believe in celebrating the wins, focusing on what is working, and setting realistic goals to address desired changes. Together, we will start where you are, develop a path forward, and utilize evidence-based tools to facilitate your progress. I specialize in adolescent and teen mental and behavioral health, anxiety, dementia, depression, grief and bereavement, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, medical issues and physical health, military and veteran support, PTSD, spirituality, stress, and trauma.
