Getting to know Elaine Boyle

Hello, and I’m so glad you’ve chosen to reach out for help and support. My name is Elaine Boyle, and I am a licensed mental health counselor in Washington state, working with adults and couples. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Saint Martin’s University and have been practicing for 20 years, with the last three in telehealth. I have worked extensively with military service members and their families and am well acquainted with the daily issues they face. I also worked in community mental health, counseling clients with a broad range of issues—complex trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, and attachment issues, among others. I am generally good at reading and identifying the issues a client is facing and pinpointing the most helpful information and techniques to resolve those issues. I think of counseling as a conversation where one of us brings a new and different perspective to the subject being discussed. I particularly enjoy working with couples and find this work very rewarding. While the information provided here sounds kind of stiff and formal to me, my approach to counseling is far from that! I’m a warm and empathic person, and my primary goal in counseling is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to talk about what is going on for you.
