Psychotherapist
3665 N Broadway St, Chicago, IL
Becoming a therapist is something I have known would happen since I was 20 years old. I have always loved helping people and naturally gravitated toward a helping profession. I approach my sessions by getting to know my clients as the unique individuals they are. I believe my clients are more than a diagnosis, and I always strive to incorporate their values into our work together. In every session, I ask my clients, "What do you need right now, and what is important to you for our session?" My goal is to help clients find their own narrative without rewriting their identity. I graduated in 2016 from DePaul University with a Master of Education in Community Counseling. I have experience working in private practice, outpatient psychiatric clinics, and providing crisis counseling in two Chicago hospitals. I have worked with adolescents, young adults, and senior citizens. I have provided therapy to individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and personality disorders. I primarily utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing in my sessions. Most importantly, I tailor every session to meet what my client needs in the moment.
