Psychotherapist

Life is all about relationships—relationships with ourselves, our loved ones, and our community. While these connections often bring great joy, they can also sometimes generate feelings of anxiety, depression, and uncertainty. Through our therapeutic partnership, I will help you build the skills to better manage these disruptive feelings and gain insight into your behaviors, ultimately allowing you to find balance and fulfillment. As a person-centered therapist, I work with individuals, couples, and families of all backgrounds and take particular interest in women’s issues such as empowerment and identity. My environment is safe and inclusive, allowing you to feel comfortable exploring yourself. I believe each person comes to therapy with a unique set of experiences and expectations; therefore, I customize my therapeutic approach to meet your needs while also offering new perspectives. One area of focus in my practice is Perinatal Mental Health. Welcoming the addition of a new family member is a huge mental and physical shift in one’s life. Perinatal Mental Health focuses on supporting individuals from pregnancy to postpartum, as well as loss and infertility. Commonly, people experience changes in mood such as increased anxiety and depression, as well as psychosocial factors including conflict in relationships and managing other responsibilities. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston, which have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you effectively on your journey.
