Getting to know Elizabeth Jean

** DISCLAIMER: Our practice provides psychotherapy services only and does not prescribe medication. Elizabeth holds a Master of Arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University and currently practices under a limited permit as she works toward full licensure. She provides therapy for adults and couples, supporting clients through life transitions, emotional struggles and relationship difficulties.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Elizabeth provides a healing space where clients can express themselves unapologetically. She believes that true healing begins by feeling emotions fully, including their physical impact in the body. She specializes in helping adults work through relational trauma, explore self-discovery, and navigate major life transitions with clarity and confidence. Her experience includes supporting clients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and relational challenges. Elizabeth helps clients slow down, gain clarity, and reclaim their voice—guiding them to make decisions that balance logic and intuition.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Elizabeth also works with couples who feel stuck in patterns of disconnection or emotional distance, even when both partners deeply want to feel close. Utilizing an emotionally focused framework, she helps partners identify and understand the emotions underlying their interactions, express vulnerable feelings safely, and respond to one another in ways that build trust and connection. In sessions, Elizabeth guides couples in turning toward each other, repairing relational rifts, and creating more secure, emotionally attuned bonds. Her warm, collaborative style ensures both partners feel heard while working toward deeper connection and lasting relational change. Elizabeth guides clients in exploring the discomforting or challenging parts of themselves by examining the important relationships in their lives. She intuitively applies a variety of therapeutic approaches—including Emotion-Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—to understand each client’s unique experiences to tailor treatment goals to meet their individual needs.
