Elizabeth Nicholson, LCSW

Elizabeth Nicholson, LCSW

Psychotherapist
GA
I earned my B.A. in Sociology and Certificate in Environmental Studies in 1994 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I also studied at Tel-Aviv University in Israel. In 1998, I completed my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs)! My passions include live music, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family. I have specialized training in the treatment of mood disorders during and after pregnancy, as well as in traumatic birth experiences. I am also a volunteer coordinator for Postpartum International and a certified Grief Recovery Specialist. I believe that loss is an area of life we are often unprepared for and feel strongly about supporting individuals through it. In my practice, I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet each person’s unique needs, collaborating with clients to set and achieve meaningful goals. My therapeutic philosophy is both supportive and insight-oriented. Since insight without action can lead to stagnation, you can expect to receive plenty of encouragement to keep moving forward. I’m part of Resolute, a practice offering high-quality, insurance-covered therapy and psychiatry, with comprehensive support to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience for our clients. For additional help reach out to the Resolute support team. I look forward to meeting you!
