Getting to know Ellen Fischel
Welcome to a healing space. I have a passion for empowering both adolescents and adults to overcome challenges, break free from negative thought patterns, and embrace a life filled with purpose and fulfillment. I utilize warmth, understanding, and a holistic trauma-informed lens, which can pave the way for lasting change. In our collaborative sessions, we'll work together to explore the intricacies of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and begin making change.
I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Yeshiva University and am licensed in New York. I offer virtual sessions to clients in both Florida and New York.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Beyond the conventional boundaries of therapy, I strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment where you can feel heard and understood. Life's challenges may seem daunting, but with the right tools and support, they become opportunities for growth and resilience.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, with a primary focus on Holistic Psychotherapy, combining Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I use a trauma-informed approach as well. These modalities form the foundation of my practice, allowing me to tailor each session to the unique needs and goals of my clients. I have advanced training in CBT via the Beck Institute.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I begin by taking a thorough look at each client's history and presenting symptoms. I then tailor treatment towards your individualized needs. Our sessions will be a collaborative and confidential space where you can express yourself freely. Whether you are seeking help for anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or simply navigating life's complexities, I am committed to helping you build resilience and discover your inner strengths.

We also provide an optional service where we can submit claims for you for out of network insurance reimbursement (Mentaya).
