Erik is a licensed social worker who specializes in addressing issues related to anxiety, depression, addiction, relationships, and OCD. He earned his Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri. Erik utilizes a variety of treatment modalities to support the unique experiences of his clients. He believes that therapy is fundamentally about deepening our understanding of ourselves in order to live richer, more meaningful lives. This often requires making peace with the past and making changes for the future. Making meaningful and long-lasting change is rarely an easy endeavor. Erik strongly believes that the foundation of any successful treatment is built upon the therapeutic alliance between client and therapist. He takes great pride in the working relationships he cultivates with his clients. It is not your responsibility to trust him; it is his duty to earn your trust. Outside of work, Erik enjoys spending time with family and friends and making art. He is extremely passionate and dedicated to honing his crafts as a photographer and musician. He has self-published three photography books and writes and records his own music in his home studio. He also loves to read, skateboard, and compete in local chess tournaments.
