Life Goals:
1. Break generational curses of abuse/trauma and empower children to break the cycle of violence and oppression.
2. Promote peace/sustainability globally through conflict resolution practices.
I work with Inland Empire populations, Orange County populations, Los Angeles populations, and internationally. My goal is to be a voice to the voiceless and instill hope. Justice is of the utmost importance to me and I can envision the big picture when it comes to policy and how it influences the lives of minorities and low-income families. I work diligently to improve institutional racism and disparity among minorities.
I earned a three concentration Masters with an emphasis in Policy, Law, and Mental Health from the University of Southern California (USC). I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am a certified psychotherapist in neuroscience EMDR therapy and an advanced trainer in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Suicide Prevention, Attachment-Focused Therapy, Conflict Resolution, and Mediation.
I am currently a Clinical Director of Intense Mental Health programs spanning across Federal, State level, and local levels of service serving children and families with complex trauma, refugees, human trafficking victims, and unaccompanied minors.
I recently started a program called Forca Mulheres for Refugee Women in Brazil teaching them tools of empowerment and sustainability as well as helping them overcome trauma. The program is being replicated in three other countries in the next 4 months. I am working on other programs in conjunction with my work with the United Nations to promote sustainability worldwide and help member states implement the Sustainable Development World Goals.
I serve as a certified mediator for Orange County Court System, where I perform mediations in family law, civil harassment, small claims, law enforcement, employment law, and community mediations.
