Hello, I'm Evelyn. I'm glad you are here to begin your journey of healing and self-discovery. Working with a therapist who can help you find relief and build a richer, fuller life is vital. Therapy is a commitment, and it is important to find a therapist who is a good fit. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with an MSW and nearly 45 years of experience providing therapy. I have worked in numerous settings, including hospitals, treatment centers, and outpatient settings. I have also managed therapy programs and provided clinical supervision for individuals working toward their professional licensure. In my extensive career, I have worked primarily with adults from all walks of life. I support equality and diversity and have a unique understanding of the concerns faced by active-duty or retired military personnel and their families. My specialties include anxiety, depression, PTSD, chemical dependence, relationship issues, and life transitions. I also provide support for grief and bereavement, gender identity, LGBTQIA+ issues, sleep disorders, and stress management. I offer therapy through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), incorporating mindfulness into our work. This process is active and individualized. We will discuss your concerns, clarify your values, and work together to accomplish your goals. During our time together, I will generate ideas and suggestions based on your concerns and interests. As a Social Worker, I am trained to think about people in the context of their relationships, environment, and culture, which are important to understand to help you maximize your potential and develop a meaningful life. I am only available for telehealth sessions, which allows us to connect from the comfort of your own space. I look forward to talking with you and supporting you on your journey.
