Faith Larson, LCSW, grew up in Cedar Park, Texas. She graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 2007. After moving to League City, Texas in 2009, she worked as a juvenile probation officer at the Galveston County Juvenile Justice Department for eight years. During her time working with delinquent and at-risk youth she noticed a pattern in which most of the youth had dealt with several forms of unresolved trauma in their short lives. This realization guided her to leave the juvenile justice system and pursue a career in clinical social work and to specialize in trauma. In August 2019 Faith graduated from Texas State University with a Master’s of Social Work (MSW). Since 2019 Faith has been working with victims of crimes and as a private psychotherapist. Faith completed 3000 hours of clinical practice and supervision and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Texas. Faith enjoys meeting people where they are at and coming alongside them to help reach their goals. Trauma affects everyone from all walks of life. However, Faith specializes in working with individual adults, adolescents ages 10 -17, families, and victims of crime. Faith is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Relational Trauma Resolution Therapy (Family of Origin/Attachment), Integrative Attachment Family Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Faith’s philosophy of practice is client centered, trauma informed, and strengths based. As your therapist, Faith will provide a non-judgmental and safe space to explore how your past experiences are currently impacting your daily functioning, process trauma, and help you recognize and build upon your strengths to help you reach your therapeutic goals
