What should a new client know about working with you?

Care is offered with a supportive and compassion approach that explores the underlying issues of disordered eating while addressing the behavioral and emotional aspects that influence and compound the recovery process. The focus is always to help each person find solutions that work, reduce symptoms, and work towards a meaningful and sustained recovery. I've worked with patients for over 20 years and have had the pleasure to work with individuals who are just starting their recovery process. those completing inpatient or residential treatment. and those who are experiencing a period of relapse. My goal is always to equip you with the knowledge and skills to achieve recovery and build a healthy relationship with food.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first session includes a assessment of your eating disorder history and how your life is currently impacted by disordered eating. We will discuss your goals for therapy and what the keys areas of concern are for you. We will discuss treatment methods that help in reducing the eating disorder behaviors and encourage lasting recovery.
