Hello, I am Fatima Chavez, a bilingual (English and Spanish-speaking) licensed psychotherapist. Originally from Queens, New York, I have had the privilege of calling sunny Florida home for over a decade. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University and completed my Master's in Social Work at Barry University. Since relocating, I have committed myself to public service, with experience in roles such as teacher, domestic violence advocate, juvenile youth advocate, and therapist. My career spans various areas, including community mental health, private practice, inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment, and mental health centers. I take a trauma-informed approach to therapy, blending evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and expressive art therapy techniques. I am passionate about creating a supportive and compassionate space for individuals to heal and grow. My goal is to help clients unlock their full potential and guide them in becoming the best version of themselves.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
