“Finding a therapist who genuinely creates a safe and nurturing space is invaluable, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Felicia Mask, I cannot recommend her highly enough. ?From the very first session, I felt completely seen and heard. She listens without interruption or agenda, making every minute feel productive and dedicated entirely to my needs. The environment she cultivates is entirely non-judgmental. I’ve been able to discuss sensitive or difficult topics without any fear of criticism or shame, which has allowed me to be truly honest and make real progress. ?What truly sets her apart is her kindness and consistent respect. She never, under any circumstances, belittles you or makes you feel "less than." Instead, she offers gentle guidance, deep empathy, and a therapeutic partnership. If you are looking for a highly skilled professional who will treat you with dignity, compassion, and respect every single time, this is the therapist for you. ”

Getting to know Felicia Mask

Felicia Mask, LPC, CCTP Licensed Professional Counselor | Certified Clinical Trauma Professional I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with over 9 years of counseling experience and 17 years of experience as an educator. My approach to counseling is holistic, drawing from person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy methods. I believe in addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—to foster meaningful, lasting change in a way that feels both effective and empowering. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and across many stages of life. I support clients navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship concerns, adoption-related issues, intimate partner and family violence, anger management, self-esteem, borderline personality disorder, and the impacts of trauma and abuse. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where clients feel heard and supported as they work toward healing, resilience, and personal growth.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I bring both clinical expertise and a deep understanding of the human experience to my work. My practice is grounded in the belief that true healing occurs when we address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—while also providing practical tools that create meaningful, lasting change. I integrate evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with holistic principles that encourage balance and self-discovery. By exploring the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, clients gain insight into patterns that may be holding them back, while also learning strategies to move forward in healthier and more fulfilling ways. Mindfulness practices are often woven into sessions to help clients cultivate awareness, presence, and a greater sense of control in their daily lives. Trauma-informed care lies at the heart of my practice. I provide a safe, supportive space for clients to process difficult experiences and begin the work of healing from past wounds. My person-centered approach ensures that therapy is guided by each individual’s unique experiences, values, and goals. I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaboration—built on trust, respect, and compassion—where clients feel truly seen and supported.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our work together, I start by getting to know you—your concerns, goals, and what you hope to gain from counseling. During the first sessions, we’ll explore your history and current challenges to create a plan that fits your unique needs. From there, I use a collaborative approach, drawing on evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Focused CBT, while integrating holistic and mindfulness techniques when helpful. Each session is designed to provide both support and practical tools you can use right away in daily life. I check in with you regularly to track progress, adjust goals, and celebrate growth along the way. My aim is to create a safe, compassionate space where you feel understood and empowered to take steps toward healing and lasting change.
