Getting to know Felicia Moholland

Felicia is a Psychotherapist, Clinical Counselor, and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist who works primarily with neurodivergent adults, creatives, deep feelers, and high-achieving individuals who look functional on the outside but feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected on the inside. Many of her clients struggle with ADHD, anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, sensory overwhelm, perfectionism, or cycles of burnout. They may overthink, overwork, and over-function, yet still feel like they are falling behind. Felicia helps clients better understand their nervous systems, energy patterns, and attention styles so they can build lives that feel sustainable, not just productive. Her approach is trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and identity-affirming. She focuses on executive functioning support, emotional regulation, shame resilience, self-compassion, and practical strategies that actually work in real life. Sessions are collaborative and adaptable. They are structured enough to feel grounding and flexible enough to honor how your brain works. Felicia integrates talk therapy with creative and experiential approaches when helpful, including visual art, writing, movement, music, and metaphor. Creative tools are always optional and no artistic experience is required. Sometimes words are enough. Sometimes creativity opens doors that words cannot. She has experience supporting clients navigating complex trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD traits, identity exploration, relational patterns, and chronic overwhelm. Her goal is to create a space where you can unmask, slow down, understand yourself more deeply, and build systems of support that feel authentic and attainable. Therapy with Felicia is about working with your nervous system, not against it.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our work together, I offer a collaborative, compassionate space where you can show up exactly as you are: messy, creative, curious, stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure. My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in the belief that growth and healing do not always happen through insight alone. They also happen through felt experience, gentle experimentation, and learning to work with your nervous system rather than against it. I integrate talk therapy with creative and experiential tools such as art, music, movement, and storytelling, guided by what feels most supportive and accessible for you in each moment. You never need to be “artistic” to benefit. These tools offer alternative ways of making sense of emotions, patterns, and experiences that can be hard to name, especially when your mind feels crowded or your energy feels scattered. Many of the clients I work with have spent years feeling like they have to work harder than others just to keep up, stay organized, manage emotions, or meet expectations. Together, we focus on understanding how you function best, reducing self-blame, building practical and personalized systems of support, and reconnecting with your strengths and creativity. Our work is not about fixing you, but about helping you feel more grounded, resourced, and able to move through life in ways that feel more sustainable and true to who you are.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Every therapy journey is unique, and I approach each one with curiosity, care, and a flexible structure that honors your pace, capacity, and goals. In our first few sessions, we focus on building a strong foundation by getting to know you, clarifying what brings you to therapy, and exploring what support might look like for you right now. We look at your strengths, current stressors, identity, and life experiences while creating a space where you can feel seen, supported, and free from judgment. Sessions are grounded in talk therapy and may also incorporate creative or experiential tools such as drawing, movement, music, or writing, especially when words feel limiting, overwhelming, or hard to access in the moment. I often offer gentle structure alongside flexibility, which can include visual supports, grounding practices, or practical ways to organize thoughts and emotions when things feel scattered or intense. A typical session includes a check in, space to reflect or explore what is coming up for you, and time to process emotions, relationships, or patterns as they arise in your life. At times, we may focus on building skills for regulation, boundaries, follow through, or self trust in ways that are realistic and tailored to how you function best. Throughout our work, I prioritize collaboration and regularly adjust our approach based on your feedback. My goal is to support insight, self understanding, and meaningful integration in a way that feels affirming, practical, and sustainable.
