Getting to know Gabriela Giron

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with resilience, clarity, and purpose. My practice is rooted in the belief that healing happens within safe, authentic relationships—and that every person holds an innate capacity for growth and transformation.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Over the past 6 years, I have worked across diverse clinical settings, including community mental health, private practice, schools, and healthcare systems. This breadth of experience has shaped my flexible, trauma-informed approach and deepened my understanding of how cultural, systemic, and interpersonal forces intersect in each person’s life. I specialize in working with adolescents & adults facing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, trauma, and identity exploration. My clinical work is informed by a strong foundation in attachment theory, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. I strive to co-create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered—where insight leads to action, and where painful patterns can shift toward more adaptive and meaningful ways of relating.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I approach my work with cultural humility and a strong social justice lens, always seeking to understand each person’s lived context and honoring the wisdom they bring to the room. Therapy with me is collaborative and relational. I see myself not as the expert on your life, but as a guide, witness, and ally in your journey. I balance deep listening with gentle challenge and work at a pace that respects your readiness and goals. Whether you're processing past trauma, exploring current dilemmas, or envisioning a future aligned with your values, I aim to provide both the structure and the emotional support needed for sustainable change. Above all, I believe that therapy can be a powerful act of self-connection and liberation—a space to re-author your story, reclaim your voice, and reconnect with what matters most to you. If you’re ready to begin this journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
