Starting therapy can feel exciting, overwhelming, or even a little intimidating and whatever you're feeling is completely okay. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are. Whether you're navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, you don't have to figure it all out alone. Hi, I'm Gabriella! I'm a Mental Health Counselor-LP at Sol Health, and I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College. I believe therapy should feel like a partnership. Together, we'll celebrate your strengths, work through life's challenges, and build practical tools that help you feel more confident, resilient, and connected to yourself. My hope is that each session leaves you feeling heard, supported, and empowered to take the next step toward the life you want.

Getting to know Gabriella Dix

What should a new client know about working with you?

I want therapy to feel like a place where you can take a deep breath and be yourself. My style is warm, and collaborative. I'll meet you with curiosity, compassion, and zero judgment while also encouraging you to grow in ways that feel meaningful and manageable. Every person is different, so I like to shift my therapy approach to fit your unique needs and goals. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based approaches to help you better understand yourself, build coping skills, and navigate life's ups and downs with confidence.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I offer free 15-minute consultation calls to all new clients. Booking through Zocdoc schedules your complimentary consultation a chance for us to meet, chat, and see if we're a good fit (no pressure, I promise!). Our first session is all about getting to know you what's bringing you to therapy, what matters most to you, and what you'd like to work toward. Together, we'll create goals that feel realistic and meaningful. As we continue working together, our sessions will be a mix of honest conversations, self-discovery, and practical coping skills. Some days we'll work through tough moments, other days we'll celebrate the little wins (because they deserve celebrating too!). My goal is for therapy to be a place where you feel comfortable being yourself, supported through the challenges, and leave each session feeling a little lighter and more hopeful.
