Getting to know Garrett Marple

Hey there! My name is Garrett and I am a therapist but also a mirror. I help clients examine how their learned negative thought patterns create their life outcomes and perspectives. I utilize a combination of IFS and Attachment based therapy to help clients work through trauma and form healthier relationships.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our sessions together will be a collaborative non judgmental space for you to work through your healing journey! My goal is for you to build the confidence and resilience needed to handle life’s ups and downs. My style is very casual, almost like talking to a friend, but clients also describe therapy with me as very challenging to their previous behavioral and thought patterns.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Typically we start with a combination of rapport building and mapping out your assessment/history. Next we will move to goal creation and building a treatment plan before finally getting into the work together. I often give homework assignments, utilize IFS exercises and meditation, and lead clients through somatic exercises. We also often deep dive into clients family and relationship history and roleplay boundary setting, and shifting relationship dynamics.
