Let’s be honest – life is hard! Therapy can help, but finding a therapist you ‘click’ with isn’t always easy. By being here, you have already taken the first step towards making meaningful change, and if you’re ready to take the next one and get started in therapy, I’m here to help! Whether you’re going through a transitional period in your life, carrying the weight of past traumas, or just struggling to maintain peace and control in your everyday life, working with a therapist can make a huge difference. I have experience working in outpatient, intensive outpatient, and inpatient settings with adult and adolescent clients seeking to better themselves or simply find more joy in life. I have specialized training in EMDR, TF-CBT, and motivational interviewing, and I use elements of CBT, DBT, and other person-centered and strengths-based approaches. My experiential focus has been on treating trauma, substance use and addictive disorders, and bipolar disorder, as well as mood, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. Whatever difficulties you’re facing, I can help you find clarity, peace, renewed empowerment, and joy in your life by working through them with you in a safe and welcoming therapeutic environment.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I use a non-judgmental, authentic, and individualized approach to counseling with the understanding that there is no one-size-fits-all method. Drawing from several evidence-based modalities, I practice with an integrative approach that works with any and all of your personal needs. Every person is unique, so there is no single 'right way' to conduct therapy. Your story is your own, and I cater my approach to therapy to fit your specific needs and to help you reach your personal goals, not just in therapy, but in your life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe that the relationship between a therapist and a client should be collaborative, but I also believe that while I may be the professional, you, as the client, are the expert on your own life and experiences. During our first session together, I'd like to hear about the issues that you're currently dealing with, how they are impacting your life, and decide together what may be the best way to address those concerns.
