Gwen Gonzalez, LICSW

Psychotherapist
DC
As a Latina woman dedicated to empowering diverse communities, I have had the privilege of serving in various capacities, all aimed at fostering growth and individual potential. My journey has equipped me with extensive experience in the child welfare sector, where I have advocated for the well-being of children and families. In addition to this foundational work, I have also provided support to individuals grappling with mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and complex grief. Through a compassionate and culturally sensitive approach, I strive to create safe spaces where individuals can explore their experiences, work through their struggles, and ultimately increase their awareness to impact their actions. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Hunter College, which has further deepened my understanding and skills in this field. My goal is to guide each person toward a path of resilience and self-discovery, helping them realize their inherent strength and potential.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
