I have worked as a licensed clinical social worker for approximately 20 years. I am educated in multiple treatment methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational enhancement therapy. Throughout my years of practice, I have specialized in substance abuse treatment and mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, PTSD, and anxiety disorders.
My approach to therapy is to encourage clients to explore their past and current situations, offer support, and teach new skills to better manage their lives. I also look to empower clients to recognize their strengths and to learn to utilize those strengths.
