Getting to know Haleigh Brenneman

Life can be really overwhelming, and therapy can be a place to sort through some of the messiness. I completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Frostburg State University in 2015. I then went on to complete a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology in 2018. I have been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland since 2020 after completing the provisional license and supervision requirements. My education, training, and clinical experiences have enabled me to work with a variety of populations in several settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, inpatient and outpatient substance use treatment, private practice, correctional settings, and medical hospital settings. I make it a priority to tailor my work with clients to fit each person’s needs, utilizing a variety of evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I work with clients across a spectrum of mental and emotional disorders and have experience working in the areas of trauma, substance abuse, severe and persistent mental illness, personality disorders, anxiety and depressive disorders, and adolescent development. Together, we will develop a comprehensive plan so that you can get the tools you need to help you reach your goals. It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help and for that I appreciate you.. My availability is weeknights beginning at 4 pm and weekends.
