What should a new client know about working with you?

I have experience working with clients in crisis, individuals experiencing homelessness, and those involved in the legal system. I strongly believe in trauma-focused, person-centered care that meets people where they are. While I’m trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and have used it as a primary treatment approach, I often integrate other modalities such as person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused strategies. My goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward lasting change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I meet clients where they are—emotionally, mentally, and situationally—and tailor my approach based on their needs and goals. In our initial sessions, I take time to understand your history, current concerns, and what you're hoping to gain from therapy. Depending on your preferences and needs, I may integrate tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, or solution-focused strategies. My goal is to build a supportive, collaborative space where you feel safe to process, grow, and move toward meaningful change at your own pace.
