Hello! I applaud you for taking the first step to initiate therapy. Doing things out of our comfort zone can be scary and difficult. Getting through things that are uncomfortable is where change happens, and I am here to support you along your healing journey by helping you re-engage with your sense of self, balance, and personal strength, and allow you to heal at your own pace. My approach My approach to treatment is client-centered and rooted in compassion, empathy, and respect for your unique experiences. I primarily use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach, helping you identify and reframe unhelpful thought and behavior patterns to help you develop a different lens to view your experience through, ultimately to shift your thinking-feeling-doing pattern to help alleviate your distress. Depending on your needs, I may also incorporate other therapies that might focus on using mindfulness while accepting some of your negative thoughts, or explore purpose, meaning, resilience, and optimism. Your growth and progress are my focus, and together we’ll make adjustments as needed to meet your goals. My focus I work with adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, and anger management concerns. Life is a journey with ups and downs, and its challenges may make it difficult to remain balanced, leaving us feeling a bit overwhelmed. The beliefs and world views we develop can influence the responses we have to life’s ebbs and flows, and may make us feel stuck or even get us into a pattern of poor decision making. I believe our actions do not define us; they are things we do, not who we are. I use that belief in my approach to therapy and offer a supportive environment, providing a safe place for self-discovery. Whether it’s something in life you are feeling guilty or ashamed about, regrets you have, or worries about what might be, I want to support you every step of the way using skill-building that creates a sense of empowerment and confidence.
