Getting to know Heather Reynolds

I see clients both in person and via telehealth! With Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT), you DON'T have to feel worse BEFORE feeling better! Most adult clients see me 2-5 times and leave our first session saying, "Wow! I feel better already." You haven't chosen to think, act, or feel this way, so how could you possibly choose NOT to? Problems like PTSD, depression, abuse/assault, anxiety/panic, grief/loss, self-esteem, and stuckness are caused and maintained by forces beyond your control. You won't have to do homework, relive a trauma, or even know why you've been stuck. RRT uses multi-level communication, intentionally addressing both conscious and subconscious mind. Consciously, we understand past, present, and future as well as what is and isn't happening. The subconscious mind is there to help you survive, stay safe, and make bad things stop happening. When you think of something bad that happened in the past, the subconscious mind doesn't understand that it's not actually happening now and activates the mind to do something to make it stop. RRT addresses and clears the subconscious mind of these distressing emotions and updates it so it stops trying to fix problems that aren't happening, leaving you feeling happier, calmer, and more in control of yourself. I provide brief, effective therapy. A first session is 2.5 hours so that we can get a lot done. Most clients return for 90-minute follow-up sessions (1-5 more) if the problem is complex or there are several issues to address. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) is different than traditional counseling. It's an interesting intersection between traditional talk therapy, traditional hypnotherapy and really powerful and useful information coming out of neuroscience. As we work with how the mind works, we can get a lot shifting quickly. I am always looking to get as much done in as short a period of time as possible, if we can do one session and get it all addressed, that's great but human minds tend to be complex so I generally expect to see clients for 3ish sessions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

An initial session of Rapid Resolution Therapy is 2/2.5 hours. We start by taking the time you need to feel like I understand what's been going on for you and then we determine how we want to focus our time together, then we might engage in some guided visualization hypnotic type processes and then utilize memory reconsolidation processes as appropriate. Follow up sessions are 45-90 minutes.

I met Heather and within 10 minutes of interviewing me she said she knew how to approach my situation. After just one session I drove away feeling completely different and the worry and stress were no longer present. I am amazed and happy. Thank you Heather.
Not only have I seen Heather personally, I believe in her work enough to have referred many others. I have dealt with PTSD and years of low self esteem. RRT is a tool used by Heather that has released me from this burden. I highly recommend it.
My visit with Heather was incredibly healing and efficient. I went in with crippling PTSD and left as a fully functional person (this happened over a few visits). During my first visit, she completely healed my trauma from the first sexual assault I experienced in my life. I saw her several more times to address other sexual assaults and traumatic events in my life, and she rewired my brain in a way that it no longer gets triggered by things that used to trigger my PTSD. I am not suffering anymore. I want everyone who has PTSD to have access to Rapid Resolution Therapy. It completely changed my life and fixed me after multiple cases of serious trauma. I am a happy person now. Thank you, Heather. You are my hero.
Heather is professional and compassionate. She listens and provides a solution that helps with the root issue instead of the symptom. Rapid resolution therapy has helped me heal and recover from the childhood trauma that resulted in life long depression and anxiety. I highly recommend Heather if you are looking for a therapist who can truly help in the healing process!
